The theme of the conference was “Forms of Genocide Across the Globe: Challenges, Responses and Accountability.” Dr. Tharcisse Seminega presented his family’s experiences during the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. While a professor at National University of Rwanda in Butare, he, his wife and 5 children were marked for slaughter. He announced the Spring 2019 release of his book “No Greater Love: A Family Bears Witness to the Genocide of the Tutsi in Rwanda.”
