Walcott Students (l-r) Mary Baril, Lexie Griffin and Maddie Jones, shown with teacher-librarian Terri Toppler, study a recent Holocaust exhibit in the school library. “Who Am I? Young Minds Forced to Choose” is a collection of 13 panels telling the story of young Jehovah’s Witnesses Rudolf Graichen and Simone Arnold-Liebster, who faced Nazi terror but refused to give in. The library also has a large selection of Holocaust literature. Graichen, who is now in his mid-80’s and lives in Texas, visited the Walcott School library and spoke to students in 2003.
